Dr. Serwatka was well known throughout several communities because of his vast work. He has a deep passion for social justice, LGBT issues in society and education, higher education, impact of deaf teachers in the classrooms for deaf students.

Your donations are what enable us to provide scholarships to LGBTQ+ scholars who are seeking a post-secondary or trade school education. These scholars go on to work within the community and become everything from lawyers and musicians to business people and wildlife conservationists.
Through the generous donations of supporters like yourself, PFLAG of Jacksonville has awarded more $438,000 to over 345 scholars since the program's inception in 1996.
